Overview
The Eta Iota Chapter of Sigma Nu has been on the NAU campus since 1962. We have a proud tradition at NAU graduating more than 800 brothers. The chapter currently resides in Mountain View Hall; the all Greek facility located on the East side of campus behind the rec-center. Our wing is located on the top floor facing North towards the San Francisco Peaks. Over half of our chapter lives in the wing providing many unforgettable experiences. The chapter room also located in the wing offers many amenities for brothers. In the chapter room we have a big screen tv, ping pong, and foosball. If you're an alumni or a prospective candidate, please feel free to stop in and check-out the wing.

Brotherhood
Sigma Nu is a lifelong commitment, which has been typified by our strong alumni support. Our chapter consisting of 30 members offers strong brotherhood and immediate opportunities to lead through holding officer positions in the chapter and being a part of committees that report to the chapter vice president. Every week the chapter organizes events to build brotherhood and camaraderie. Recent brotherhood building events include the NAU Ropes/Challenge Course, weekly chapter dinners, Lake Powell retreat, intramural sporting events, Tour De Flag, paintball outings, and our annual hike to the top of Mt. Humphreys.
Social
Being socially active on the NAU campus is also very important to the Eta Iota Chapter. In past years the chapter has been the host as well as a guest at many social events for and held by sororities. Some of these events include cooking dinner for sororities in Mt. View, game nights, as well as a co-hosted semester party with another fraternity in which we are able to provide accommodations for our two fraternities as well as all sororities and any other friends. This party is hosted off campus and is registered through NAU and our national fraternity.
Our annual formal also takes place in Lake Havasu, Arizona each April. All of the brothers, our dates, dates friends and alumni of the chapter pack up for the weekend to get away from school and Flagstaff for a little weekend break. Its a great brother hood event as well as a way for our alumni to get to know the newest members of our chapter. At each formal our new officers for the next academic year are announced and welcomed into their positions.

Accolades
In 1996 the Eta Iota Chapter was given the Rock Award, the highest honor of Sigma Nu. Only the top three chapters world wide receive the Rock Award every other year. We have also had the most success at Intramurals out of any chapter at NAU. Sigma Nu has won eight intramural titles in the last 15 years. Just recently the chapter was recognized for the third best grades out of 14 fraternities on campus. As well as some of the highest recruitment rates nationally throughout the nation for Sigma Nu.
